Book Review: Scandal in Spring by Lisa Kleypas

But right at the moment of sweet surrender, a scandalous secret is uncovered . . . one that could destroy both Matthew and a love more passionate and irresistible than Daisy's wildest fantasies.

What I liked: The tenderness of the love story between Matt and Daisy. At the beginning, Daisy doesn't want to have anything to do with Matt and is incredibly upset and frustrated by her father's desire for the two to wed. Daisy remembers Matt as an arrogant and monetarily motivated underling to her father but when she meets him again years later she finds a caring and sentimental man instead. Their developing story is touching and sweet which suits the characters perfectly and the resolution is fitting.

What I didn't like: My only real complaint about the novel is that it started off a little slowly but it eventually picked up.
